Introduction
SchoolGuard ("we", "our", or "the app") is a parental control application designed to help parents manage their children's device usage during school hours. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
Our Privacy Commitment
- SchoolGuard does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data or usage information from your device.
Information We Access (On-Device Only)
To provide the core functionality of the app, SchoolGuard uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time APIs to:
- Monitor which apps are installed on the device (to allow parents to select which apps to restrict)
- Apply app restrictions based on location (geofencing) and time schedules
- Temporarily hide or block access to selected apps during school hours
- All of this information stays on your device. We do not have access to this data, nor do we transmit it to any servers.
No Data Collection
SchoolGuard does not:
- Collect personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
- Track app usage patterns or screen time data
- Monitor user behavior or location beyond the geofencing feature (which operates locally)
- Use analytics or tracking services
- Share any information with third parties
- Display advertisements or use advertising SDKs
- Sell or monetize user data in any way
